PATH No. 2
Riccione, Gradara, San Marino, Verucchio, Riccione
This 110 Km path is characterised by 6 slopes with different gradients. The hardest slope is Monte Gridolfo, which reaches a gradient of 13% for around 2 Km. The difficulty of this path is such that it is considered "STRONG", that is, advisable for expert cyclists. This path is recommended during spring-summer and autumn. The scenery we can admire is rich in vineyards, olive grooves, castles and fortresses. Among these, Gradara Castle stands out, as it has been immortalised in the tragic love story of Paolo and Francesca from Rimini. The Piazza di Mondaino, where the famous "Palio del Daino" is held and... for the most precise type... the magnificent sundial located in the palace surrounding the town square. The path reaches the Republic of San Marino, renowned for the historical elements that are already millenarian. It is the smallest republic in the world. When you are truly about to lose all your strengths, you will reach Verucchio with the beautiful fortress called "Rocca del Sasso" from which it is possible to admire a view that is worth immortalising. Embracing the classic phrase "mare e monti" (sea and mountains), the hilly scenery laps the horizon right on the sea.
Once the excursion is over, our guides will be available to go with you in the tour of enology and gastronomy for you to buy local typical products.
